Unitarian Universalist Society Cleanup 9/13/08

Hi Folks,

Wow! What a haul! (Saturday's) band of unabashed trash-collectors really scored big-time in cleaning up the UU mile of the Parkway today. In the photo, from left, Linda Tanforan, Bill Becker, Pat Skeels, Kate Mullinger, and Jeff Voeller hauled out 15 bags of trash, a shopping cart, old chair, swim fin, and (drum-roll please...) the incredibly heavy, rusty safe that finally made Jeff Voeller's day when, after participating in its discovery months ago, he dragged it up a steep, sandy bank and hand-trucked it to the collection area. Celebration of our accomplishments and fun conversation followed after at Panera.

Regrettably three additional good-hearted and willing folks missed our departure but left a note on my car. Thanks for trying! Please come back next time!

With appreciation for a fun, productive morning,

Dave Dawson

I am working on a painting for the upcoming annual American River parkway art contest. I have a dumb question-are there foxes in the American River parkway environ? I have not seen any postings regarding this specific breed of animals while at the parkway or on line. If you could e-mail me back, i would surely appreciate it. Thanks in advance. plainjanemoyle@gmail.com
